Various – Feeling Nice Vol.4 (2LP+MP3/Gatefold)
Friday, September 22nd, 2017 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Various – Feeling Nice Vol.4 (2LP+MP3/Gatefold)

Image: 1612038 Tramp’s Feeling Nice series has positioned itself as a universally accepted essential cultural and historical document of some of the greatest unknown local vernacular American Black music of the sixties and seventies. The Feeling Nice series has been dedicated to filling in the blanks between the more well known cuts of so-called Deep Funk canon and drawing out the relationships and stories behind and between the tunes and the artists, and ultimately creating a dialogue that serves to enlighten and enliven a true anti-racist discussion of American Popular music specifically and of Global human music in general. With Feeling Nice Vol. 4, Tramp continues this important conversation, and having spent over 700 days unearthing a rousing selection across the board, offers it to you, now, as a double LP with full-color label scans, never before seen promo shots, and detailed biographical information – in some cases in the words of the artists themselves!

Believe me when I tell you, Feeling Nice 4 has got it all: Brilliant B-sides: (Donald Ray – “Strut Your Stuff”), Concealed covers: (Combined Forces – “Feelin’ Alright”), Tittyshakers: (Big Bear Revue – “Big Bear”), Dance crazes: (Donnie Sanders – “Shing-A-Ling Baby, Mr. Clean & The Cleansers – “Karate”), Obscure cuts by well known R&B stars: (Frederick Knight – “Steppin Down”), Retro German rave-ups: (Take 5+2 – “Get Your Love”), Weirdo deep funk one-offs: (Moony Moon – “Walking On The Moon”), Killers from the Caribbean: (Al Sinclair – “No That Ain’t Groovy), Basement Jams: (TNT Powerhouse – “Basement Jam”), Most talked-about new discoveries: (Living Funk – “Silver Black Summer Day”), and more and more and more…

As a special incentive for you to be first in line for this freakishly fantastic funk feast, Tramp Records will include a special BONUS 45 of an unpressed acetate of “I FEEL A GROOVE COMIN’ ON” by “SOUTH SIDE” with the first 400 copies of Feeling Nice Vol. 4.

Expanding on the funky sounds popularized by Jimmy McGriff,
Charles Earland, Lou Donaldson, and others, this group brings a
mixture of original tunes and covers, both old and new, that excite

Various – House Of Ages (Selected By Jeremy Newall)
Friday, October 16th, 2015 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Various – House Of Ages (Selected By Jeremy Newall)

9. Soul Dhamma – Don’t Run Away
10.Karen Anderson – I Work Hard To Love You (Jeremy’s AllNew Midday Mix)
11.Johanna – Freak It! (Tony Humphries’ Instrumental Mix)
12.Arts and Craft feat. Razor Cain – Yo Razor

Back in the early 1990s house music was having perhaps its most fertile and creative period. The original house from Chicago had blown up back in the ‘80s and left nothing short of a cultural revolution in its wake, with regional variants springing up all over the US, the UK and Europe.

London in particular was a global hub for house music, with a whole slew of clubs and a long established underground scene that had taken house to its heart. A key mover-and- shaker was a young Jeremy Newall, who worked successively at a whole bunch of record stores including Catch-A-Groove, where the likes of Tony Humphries would come and hang out when in town (Humphries used to record his shows at a flat above the shop with a wide-eyed Jeremy soaking in the vibes), and latterly Release The Groove, where he could be found well into the twenty-first century. A close association with Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson saw him repping for the big fella when Trouble was unable to do his Kiss FM radio show, and as the resident alongside him at Trouble’s much loved Loft Sessions in Camden. He also played on many pirates, at all the best parties in London, Europe and beyond. Jeremy’s position as the go-to guy behind the capital’s hippest record store counters saw many visiting US jocks passing him records that barely saw the light of day in a scene where superb new tunes were coming thick and fast. Therein lie the roots of this compilation … a collection of overlooked, unreleased, and just hard-to-find gems to put alongside some of the better-known and overplayed classics of the era.

With Jeremy’s beloved New York vibe predominant, there are also productions here from Chicago, the UK and elsewhere. Some tunes which DID hit relatively big back in the day like UBQ Project We Can Make It and Susan Clark Deeper are represented here by alternative mixes (the latter from the criminally under-rated Benji Candelario), those who only know of Roger Sanchez as a bigroom commercial producer/DJ might be surprised to know that his early days were marked by some of the deepest productions around (check his mix of Tribal House Mainline), ditto Sandy Rivera, here in his early KOT persona, while an unreleased track from ‘Mad’ Moses predates his mid-90s heyday. UK house hero Jimi Polo’s Take Me Higher only ever appeared as a poor quality bootleg, while Hollywood Beyond’s track became a classic at New York’s Shelter club and is revived for no better reason than it’s due a revival. There’s an early track from Soul Dhamma that never came out, linking this to the later ‘90s period, Jeremy’s own exclusive mix of Karen Anderson I Work Hard To Love You, and much more besides, all evoking an era when house’s roots in black music and affinity with disco were far more in evidence. Which, for anyone directed this way via ‘EDM’ explains our kinda ‘spiritual’ title … because, kids, house music, it’s a spiritual thing…

Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators – Happiness In Every Style (LP+MP3)
Friday, August 21st, 2015 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators – Happiness In Every Style (LP+MP3)

Mit Titeln wie “Feeling Free” und “If This Ain’t Love (Don’t know What Is)” mauserten sich Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators zur königlichen Familie des Soul-Revivals. Die Veröffentlichung der 7inch-Single “Paint Me In A Corner/Were Are You Now” bezeugt, dass Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators immer noch mit Leichtigkeit zu alter Größe aufspielen. Available from 02.10.2015

Thursday, April 16th, 2015 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Romperayo – El Busetero Buscapleitos / Que Viva La Vida Y Que

Image: 1596614 Names You Can Trust presents the debut vinyl release from Romperayo, a new band led by drummer Pedro Ojeda (Los Pirañas, Frente Cumbiero, Ondatrópica). Further expanding the burgeoning live music scene of Bogota, Colombia and featuring many of the same talented family of musicians, Romperayo similarly takes its musical cues from Colombia’s rich musical history. These recordings dive deep into the country’s coastal traditions with a unique present day twist via the inspired percussion of bandleader Ojeda, a melting pot of rhythms played with his own manic flare and style.

El Busetero Buscapleitos is deeply inspired by the rhythms and textures that made their way through the Caribbean and into the local picos (sound systems). A nod to musical outfits of the 1970’s such as Wganda Kenya & Son Palenque, the song is a mixture of styles from West Africa, Trinidad and Haiti married with popular Colombian rhythms of the Caribbean coast like cumbia and chande.

Que Viva La Vida y Que Muera La Muerte derives from the other coastal region of Colombia, the Pacific. Inspired by the Afro-Colombian form curralao, traditionally played with wooden drums, shakers & a marimba, it is here updated and electrified in a stripped down tribute to the grand orchestra of Peregoyo y su Combo.

Image: 1595284 Incredible as it seems, this year marks twenty years since the launch of Johnny D’Mairo’s Henry Street Music label. To celebrate, BBE is marking the occasion with a sumptuous five- disc CD retrospective, a fitting tribute to one of the most important of all house labels.

HENRY STREET MUSIC –TWENTY YEARS OF FIERCE HOUSE MUSIC

Incredible as it seems, this year marks twenty years since the launch of Johnny D’Mairo’s Henry Street Music label. To celebrate, BBE is marking the occasion with a sumptuous fivedisc CD retrospective, a fitting tribute to one of the most important of all house labels. This is one of the most extensive grand summations yet done of a dance label. Henry Street Music exemplified its era as much as Trax and Nu-Groove had theirs. Come the mid-‘90s, the disco cut-up became ubiquitous, as thousands tried to emulate the success of Henry Street’s first big killer, The Bucketheads’ Tha Bomb –still a dancefloor staple two decades on.
Many of the movers and shakers of the day had their best moments on Henry Street, and they’re all here: Johnnick, Armand Van Helden, DJ Duke, DJ Sneak, Dirty Harry, Davidson Ospina, Todd Terry, Mateo and Matos, Brutal Bill, Josh Wink, even the UK’s own Ashley Beedle, and many more –a veritable roll-call of the premiere-league of dance at the time, an era when dance music still seemed incredibly fertile and the link with its own past was still vital. Some of the American originals can struggle to get props among the countless mutations of house out there vying for attention in today’s digitalized dance scene, but the real househeads
always knew to check them, and will recognize this as quality product, through and through. Henry Street (named after Brooklyn homeboy Johnny’s neighbourhood) always had a ‘New York’ vibe, and even when drawing its producers from further afield, the label encapsulated the city’s melting-pot of talent and raw, bristling energy… energy captured here, and exploding off these remastered tracks like it’s 1999 all over again! Alongside the massive dancefloor anthems from the likes of Kenny Dope and Armand Van Helden are some real gems that got away, some exclusive mixes, and the thoughts of Johnny D, one of the prime-movers of the New York dance scene even before he came up with his own label, responsible for countless hits as promotions man and as dance A&R at Atlantic. Never one for the limelight, Johnny’s own story is nonetheless inextricably bound up with the transition from disco through house to the ubiquity of dance music today. So… dust off those dancing shoes, and get ready to feel the heat, it’s one more time for the Henry Street Hustle!

Image: 1592592 From the sun kissed shores of Brazil and the wonderful starlit nights of the Mareh Festival comes a new label, Mareh Music.

Mareh Festival was started by a small group of friends who’s only aim was to escape the big city, take an amazing sound system to a remote and beautiful part of the country, and then party together with friends and great music. It has grown since into a week long annual event featuring international DJs playing alongside talented residents, and still has the same commitment to real quality and fun.

Mareh Music is born from the soundtrack to those parties, and is launched to mark the festival’s tenth birthday.
So you can expect to hear beach bar boogie, disco-tinged dance floor movers and deep electronic groovers.

The first release on the label sees NYC legend Eric ‘Dunks’ Duncan dropping an electronic bomb of a cut that fuses disco and house elements into a serious dance floor work-out. The sound Dunks gets also has tinges of early electronic pioneers like Kraftwerk and Italo influences sitting side by side with more contemporary dance music flavours.
Over on the flip side, disco deviants Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco deliver one of their irresistible dance floor shakers as they blend disco and house perfectly into a hybrid anthem-in-the-making. It has already been causing a storm all over Europe and beyond when it has been played in the clubs, and was actually started in a hotel room the day after the pair first played at Mareh.

So gather your friends around, listen to the music, drink, dance and party – Mareh Music is here and celebrating 10 years in style!!!

These limited releases comes in beautiful printed sleeves with artwork by Karen Hofstetter.

A. ERIC ‘DUNKS’ DUNCAN – NERVE CONTROL
B. PETE HERBERT & DICKY TRISCO – DISCO DE CHOCOLATE Available from 14.11.2014

Calibro 35 – The Butcher’s Bride / Get Carter

Image: 1592606 Italian crime funk heroes Calibro 35 strikes again with another limited edition 45 vinyl. On the A side the new single Butcher’s Bride a super groovy and orgasmic hip shaker that features lovely Serena Altavilla on vocals. Pure party sound! The flip side is a brand new killer cover up version of Roy Bud’s anthem Get Carter. Persistent and pshychedalic as hell!

Recently sampled by folks like Jay-Z and Damon Albarn, Calibro 35 are a super cult Italian combo devoted to Italian soundtracks music of the 70s. As Rolling Stone Magazine stated “Calibro 35 are the most fascinating, “retro-maniac” and genuine thing, that happened to Italy in the last years”. The band landed on Record Kicks last winter, with their fourth studio album Traditori di Tutti. Thanks to a couple of “sold out” European tours that followed the release of Traditori Di Tutti, the guys are quickly becoming increasingly dominant in the International scene, starting to make a bunch of fans all around the world. The 45 is a limited edition to 600 copies worldwide.

Watch out, all previous Calibro’s 45s sold out at the release date and are already collector’s item.

“An absolute delight!” – Jazz Thing Magazine (DE)
“amn! These guys just keep getting better and better with each new release and have found a fuzzy funky space that’s all their own!” – Dusty Groove Chicago
“pure lysergic library jazz’?¦ super cool!’?*” – Jazzman Gerald (Jazzman Records)

Various – Kev Beadle Presents Private Collection 2
Thursday, August 14th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Various – Kev Beadle Presents Private Collection 2

Image: 1589946 Kev Beadle is back with Private Collection Vol.2 continuing to share his uncompromising record collection and making accessible music that never really received a truly wide audience. Real jazz in the ‘70s and ‘80s had a hard time commercially, with the majors downgrading their investment in the music and concentrating on safe reissues, more easily accessible fusion, and areas more lucrative than jazz altogether. But at the same time, there was an efflorescence and democratization of the music.

The black nationalist politics of the late ‘60s had registered a profound influence on the consciousness of the United States, and the music was reclaimed for black audiences, with a plethora of community-oriented artists putting out intense, committed, recordings on small independent labels … the ‘private press’, hence the ‘private jazz’ you hold in your hands. Whilst jazz education course began to take off at colleges, and independently-minded community radio DJs would support the music, it rarely had distribution. For many of the tracks here, the main sales would’ve been directly from the performer to the public, at gigs.

Meanwhile, in the UK, where jazz had been part of an underground, cutting-edge youth culture at least as far back as the ‘modernist’ 1950s, a selected group of DJs on the jazz-funk and soul scene that exploded, with countless club-nights and all-dayers, at the end of the ‘70s, started to dig a little deeper for their tunes.

One such was our compiler Kev Beadle, who went from being a punter on the scene to a prime mover-and-shaker. Kev attended all the important jazz-dance nights that sprang up in pub backrooms like The Horseshoe and Soho dives like The Wag (where he would soon begin a residency himself). Kev was very much involved with propagating the music and expanding the scene with his promotion at The Belvedere in Richmond, and then, most famously, the afternoon sessions at Dingwalls alongside Bob Jones and Gilles Peterson. He was also involved in the early days of the Southport Weekender, where he now has a major role as programmer of its Beat Bar room.

Kev’s expertise was in demand with record companies: he compiled a series culled from the Argo/Cadet archives for Charly (mostly funky soul-jazz) as well as an important retrospective of Terry Callier, and jazz-funk and soul from the Capitol vaults for Blue Note.

Many of the tunes we present here first got an airing outside of their home states at those legendary club sessions, where the music changed from its earlier emphasis on hard-bop and bossa to modal, spiritual and ‘cosmic’ jazz. It’s fair to say few of their creators probably ever imagined they were making dancefloor hits, but Kev and his DJ contemporaries blazed a trail there that the music is still registering.

These tunes were rarely found outside of the hands of a few enterprising record-dealers, specialist record shops, and latterly, internet auctions. Kev Beadle’s desire to push the boat out musically led him to most of these tunes two decades ago, but for most listeners, the music will be experienced as upfront and progressive.

It’s an uncompromising collection, making accessible music that has never really received the truly wide audience it deserves highlighting a range of artists representing yet another chapter in black America’s fascinating musical history.

Key Selling Points
• Compiled by Kev Beadle – one of the UK’s original jazz dance DJs
• Also responsible for compiling other great compilations including the Capitol Rare series for Blue Note and Argo/Cadet Grooves series for Charly Records
• A collection of some of the rarest independent underground jazz, fusion and latin tracks from 70’s and 80’s
• Contains classic tracks played at legendary jazz dance venues like Jaffas, Electric Ballroom, The Wag and Dingwalls

It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since Cookin On 3 Burners released ‘Soul Messin’ the incredible album that included their massive crossover smash single ‘This Girl’, of which the vinyl 45 ended up being one of those records that was changing hands for crazy prices among the record collecting cognoscenti. Nucleus & Paradox – The Return Of.. / Analogue Life
Monday, July 21st, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Nucleus & Paradox – The Return Of.. / Analogue Life

Image: 1590051 Nucleus & Paradox on Metalheadz Platinum…a welcome collaboration

The Return Of.. : The A side is a darkside monster, centred around the pairs breakbeat and sub bass mantra. This time they go for a classic think break roll out, stepped out to perfection. The track is underpinned by a menacing rave stab. To put it simply – exactly what you would expect of Nucleus and Paradox on Headz

Analogue Life : The title is very apt, you can hear the machines working away in this track. The drums are left with all their original character – full of warmth and pop. The pads hang over the track in a threatening manner with bass tones playing off one another. An exercise in restraint as the shaker doesn’t drop till three minutes into the track along with off kilter FX and subtle percs. Available from 30.06.2014

Image: 1588824 Piranha Musik present Stage Cuts, the best of the pioneering Jalilah‘s Raks Sharki oriental dance series in 16 stage cuts for a new generation of dancers and performance spaces, selected by Jalilah herself

The best of the pioneering Jalilah‘s Raks Sharki oriental dance series in
16 stage cuts for a new generation of dancers and performance spaces,
selected by Jalilah herself. Traditional songs – edited and remastered – are
presented in 16 crunchy shortened tracks, selected from six previous albums.
A current development shows that Stage Cuts has its finger on the pulse of the
times – the facts speak for themselves: In earlier times the typical length for a
dance performance on festivals was between 10 to 20 minutes – nowadays the
time limit is usually under five minutes.
Taken from Mokhtar Al-Said‘s “El Ferqa Al Mesaya” Orchestra, to Hossam
Shaker and his Ensemble, to the magical melodies and rhythms of Ihsan Al-
Mounizer, this record fulfills the highest artistic demands, mirroring Jalilah’s
attachment to her idols: ”Stage Cuts is a tribute to the great names in Oriental
Dance history – to all these musicians, composers and most of all to the per
formers who love and cherish this beautiful dance form!“, so Jalilah states her
intention for the new release. But also lovers of Oriental Dance music will find
what their hearts desire, bridging tradition and modernity.

Roy Brown – I’m A Rockin’ Man / Everything’s Alright
Thursday, June 5th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Roy Brown – I’m A Rockin’ Man / Everything’s Alright

Image: 1589606 Mid-century R&B from one of the best artists of the blues shouter era – none other than Roy Brown. ‘I’m A Rockin’ Man’ is, as its title suggests, a upfront and bold slab of Jump Blues machismo. Before Rock & Roll became established as a genre in itself, artists such as Roy Brown were laying the foundations, in both tone and attitude, with swaggering, brazenly libidinous floor-shakers like this.

Various – Platinum Breakz Vol.4 (4xLP)
Sunday, May 25th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Various – Platinum Breakz Vol.4 (4xLP)

Image: 1588495 The wait is over- Platinum Breakz 4 is here. Perhaps one of the most revered album series in drum & bass is back with a vengeance, and some are saying it maybe the best yet.

4 piece vinyl in widespine sleeve package.

a) Om Unit- Timelines
Newcomer to Headz but no newcomer to the craft Om Unit has in one way found his way back home as a student of early Metalheadz and then making his name within other genres. Timelines is a B-boy anthem breaks, subs and bongos. Om Unit’s contributions to Headz have been very stand-out, just check the way Timelines moves from B-boy breaks anthem to into dub soundsystem shaker- which indeed was a timeline for our very genre.

b) Dub Phizix and Skeptical- Deeper Love
One of the more musical outing from 170s new shining lights was always destined to be on Headz, the intro is as forlorn as it beautiful, Skeptical’s drums are bring light to the heartbreak with Dub Phizix bass driving things forward, this one will be remembered for some time to come.

c) Calibre- Archive
It’s hard to believe this is the debut track by Calibre on Metalheadz, and it’s already a firm dancefloor favourite thanks to its kipping drums and variants in bass. The drums have the unmistakeable Calibre air to them, the air that grabs you by the hips and demands you move and paired with the aforementioned screwface bass, it really is a foregone conclusion that you going to move.

d) Scar- When
The newly formed pairing of Script and Survival come with When- A grotty work out in contorted bass and subs, gut wrenching to say the least with skittering hats and percussion moving things along with an unmatched pace.

e) Ivy Lab & Hydro – Make it Clear (Feat. Frank Carter III & Lucy Annika)
If you weren’t already aware Ivy Lab are a very talented trio consisting of Sabre, Stray and Halogenix and this time they bought some friends along for the ride. Make it clear is a slice of soul the really resonates with the listener, the duet of Mr Carter and Miss Annika trades phrases all the while underpinned by gentle pianos, a lovely effort indeed.

f) Ulterior Motive (Ft Will Manning) – Gods Neighbours
The most emotive Ulterior Motive track up this point, the duo continue to bring their unique palette of colour to Headz. The intro features the work of Will Manning, a friend of the pair who plays violin and sets the tone for something very dramatic whilst painting brushstrokes against the blank canvas. Listen from start to finish to really understand the battle between good and evil encapsulated within the song.

g) Lenzman & FD- Joanie’s Theme
Driving dancefloor soul from Lenzman and FD, percussive elements really make these drums stand out, tight mid-range is controlled by the pair and really makes this a peak time dancefloor track given personality by the vocal used.

h) Digital & Spirit- Creeper
After a brief hiatus one of the most feared twosomes in drum n bass are back again and as menacing as usual. Creeper drives with unmistakeable force across its 5 or so minutes. The effervescent trademarks are all still present and correct and it’s like they never left. Phantom Audio forever.

Saun & Starr – Hot Shot / Gonna Make Time
Thursday, April 24th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Saun & Starr – Hot Shot / Gonna Make Time

Image: 1588420 It is our distinct pleasure to present the debut release by two women who will forever change the Soul game: Saun & Starr. Like a two-headed Phoenix rising from the ashes of a bygone era when the duets of Sam & Dave, James & Bobby Purify, and Marvin & Tammi danced upon the airwaves, Saun & Starr have redefined the possibilities of what a great Soul duo can be. Though they each posess a tone and style that commands attention, together their voices compliment each other perfectly, lifting their sound to elevations neither could reach alone –– harmonies and phrases playfully intertwining to form the architecture for a soulful fortress of vocal prowess. This is obvious to anyone who’s heard them backing up Miss Sharon Jones (on stage or on record) under the loving pseudonym “The Dapettes.”

Though they are currently in the studio putting finishing touches on their debut full length album, two of their tunes have thankfully been committed to seven inch wax. The A-Side, ‘Hot Shot’ is a feel-good shaker that features the inexplicable range of Miss Starr Duncan Lowe, backed staunchly by the “Baddest Band in the Land”, The Dap-Kings. The flip, ‘Gonna Make Time’, showcases Saundra “Saun” Williams’ smooth, smoky vocal, atop a bed of deep low-rider soul. If this 45 ain’t your bag, please go lay down on a busy street. There’s no hope for you. Available from 04.04.2014

Brenda Beachball Ray – Ramshackle Rumble
Wednesday, March 26th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Brenda Beachball Ray – Ramshackle Rumble

Image: 1587050 Somewhere along the line the true spirit of the Ku was lost in a sea of Buddha Bar pish and the anaemic meanderings of anyone with a nine bar and a Spanish guitar.
Thankfully, Nado uncork their bottle of vintage San Rafael dust and sprinkle it liberally over their seventh release to put the sun and fun back into the Balearic discotheque.
And who better to call upon for authentic 80s oddities than the irrepressible Brenda Ray, who’s plunged into the Naffi HQ archive and plucked out four vivacious (& previously unreleased) gems, wholly deserving the full light of day.

Kicking things off is the frenetic groove of “Love To Dance”, which sees Ray make expert use of a sampler to collage clattering percussion, rocking guitars and dusty horns on top of a dubby 12 bar blues riff.
Throw into the mix, chiming synths, reggae vamps and Ray’s whispered vocals and you’ve got the twisted sister to Art of Noise’s ‘Peter Gunn’.

Cascades of shakers, triangles and chimes mark a change of pace for A2’s “Coolin’ In The Rye”, gradually resolving into a swaying rhythm which mirrors lapping waves and setting the scene perfectly for the horizontal bliss that follows.
Ray’s gentle bassline, buoyant melodica and exotic flute hint at an island life of sea air and sunshine, while the whole track shimmers like heat haze.

On “Theme From Another Space”, Ray develops the tropical flavours of “Coolin’ In The Rye”, cooking up a dubwise drum machine riddim, stirring up a falling bassline and fleshing the track out with cooing vocals and expansive pads.
Jarvis Whitehead (It’s Immaterial) adds some other worldly guitars while Big Jo Ross drops by for a smouldering sax solo that bathes the track in gold.

Closing things out in energetic fashion is the upbeat, off the wall dancefloor dynamite of “Transatlantic Dance Trance”.
A post punk stomper that’s ditched the Ritalin and embraced its ADHD diagnosis.
Rattling percussion loops wrap themselves around the heavy duty 4/4 while Ray’s eerie vocals swirl around your head somewhere above the murk of echoed guitar and detuned synths. The track is a restless and frenzied assault on the senses that’ll become crystal clear in the midnight sweat of a dingy basement.
