Redefinition – Bahia Affair
Friday, September 19th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Redefinition – Bahia Affair

Image: 1591168 Mecca:83, Buscrates 16-bit Ensemble & DistantStarr are Redefinition: a trio consisting of two musician-producers and one emcee.

Heavily influenced by classic Brazilian music of the 60’s and 70’s, Bahia Affair blends elements of bossa percussion with MPC beats and ample Fender Rhodes licks. The narrative is held down by DistantStarr, while Mecca & Crates trade layers of keyboards and synths to flesh out the groove.

The single is backed up by a B-Side music from much hyped Netherlands-based hip hop producer Moods, who adds his own keyboard heavy interpretation of the track.

Buscrates’ recent project with Sam Champ (as ‘Extra Medium’) was heralded by DJ Spinna, Jon Oliver and more.

Klaus Layer – The Adventures Of Captain Cook (Pic.Disc)
Friday, October 14th, 2016 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Klaus Layer – The Adventures Of Captain Cook (Pic.Disc)

Image: 1606623 2013 album now as picture disc! Redefinition Records is known mostly for working with some of the best and brightest artists in hip-hop from underground legends to certified veterans, but this release marks the first time the NJ/DC based indie label ventured into new territory, literally, by teaming up with Germany’s Klaus Layer for the release of his debut album, The Adventures of Captain Crook.
About The Artist…
Klaus Layer, pka Captain Crook, was always interested in eastern German art and music, but it was the fall of the Berlin Wall that truly opened up new opportunities for him to explore a wider range of art and foreign cultures. Klaus was born in Oranienburg, Germany, and while his preference for 90’s hip-hop music and the influence of a local graffiti scene can be seen and heard in his work, he has his own distinct identity as a creator. Klaus cites artists like Michael Hamel, Günther Fischer, Can, Pete Rock, Damu the Fudgemunk and Lord Finesse as sources of inspiration, just as much as he does the Surrealist style of art as well as the audio & visuals found in old movies from the 50s-70s. All of Layer’s different influences, along with some non-traditional sampling resources have somehow been morphed together via his instrument of choice, a sampler, into a unique style of instrumental music full of rich layers, including all sorts of percussive and melodic patterns. The Adventures of Captain Crook is a stunning album, full of beautiful melodies, expertly chopped samples and neck snapping drums, that only seems to get better with each listen. While the album is mostly instrumental, one of today’s best and brightest MC’s, Blu, shows up on not one but two tracks with show-stealing verses on the LP’s two vocal tracks, including the fan favorite “Illest In Charge” and “Come Back” which also features New World Color’s Scienze (of Divine Scienze). This is an album that will stand the test of time and one that defines the label’s motto of Quality Over Quantity.

PVD Breaks features 26 original drum breaks, all played live, recorded in different studios with a variety of mics & techniques. This collection is a must have for drummers, DJs and music producers.

Pat Van Dyke is a drummer, composer, producer, and band leader. Drawing from a diverse palette of sounds, Pat’s music features live instrumentation alongside analog synthesizers, lush horns, and vintage keyboards, straddling the boundaries of electronic music, jazz, and golden era hip-hop.

Pat’s music has been praised by tastemakers and DJs around the globe such as Gilles Peterson, Bobbito Garcia, & DJ Spinna, as well as being featured on such TV networks as FOX, NBC, MTV, VH1, & Comedy Central, and providing the soundtrack to viral videos from the likes of VICE Magazine & Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”. Klaus Layer – Society Collapse (LP+7")
Friday, September 23rd, 2016 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Klaus Layer – Society Collapse (LP+7")

Image: 1606467 Collapse is Klaus Layer’s fourth full length album since 2013 and
possibly his greatest musical achievement to date. Two years in the
making, Klaus reveals an instrumental concept album full of genredefying
arrangements and hidden layers that will reward the listener
over repeated plays. In just three years since his vinyl debut, Klaus
has earned himself a reputation as Germany’s most prolific and
unique hip-hop conductor yet and this record will only further solidify
that.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
“In a society where unsettling truths about responsibility are given little
thought, and short-sighted impulses have become commonplace,
it’s easy to become disillusioned, but it gets a little harder when what
we’re looking at are the bricks with which to build the future.
There is never a time without consequence, history provides a
resource of successes, failures and reflection. Eras of change ebb
and flow and ours is once again uniquely positioned to cultivate an
understanding of this interaction between the past and present to act
upon what comes next.
This record is a musical manifesto for reclaiming that awareness,
personal choice and inspiration for progression.” – Klaus Layer

Y Society (Damu & Insight) – Know The Meaning / Rather Unique 2
Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Y Society (Damu & Insight) – Know The Meaning / Rather Unique 2

Image: 1604925 Redefinition Records reserved it’s 100th release for one of indie hip hop’s most obscure yet sought after groups, Y Society. Need proof? Just try to find a copy of their ‘07 debut LP “Travel At Your Own Pace” for less than a hundred bucks. Good news… they’re back. With almost a decade of radio silence since their debut, the group’s latest is a 45 featuring 2 heavy hitting tracks and tons of replay value.

MC Insight the Truncator and DJ/Producer Damu The Fudgemunk exhibit their talents in true school fashion, complete with carefully curated samples, energetic scratching and potent rapping.Y doesn’t slack conceptually either, “Know the Meaning” is an essay raising the debate on how musicians and their art are valued in the modern world. Insight challenges the listener to disprove his thesis while speaking of experiences, eyewitness accounts and using some the biggest rap icons as examples to make his case. The B-side is a fan favorite, Rather Unique 2, released digitally in 2008 and available now on vinyl for the first time in a new & improved mix. Rather Unique, pays homage to AZ’s 1994 Pete Rock produced original of the same name, in Damu’s reworked track and poetic commentary Insight is known for.

Packaged in a full color sleeve designed by Joe Buck (De La Soul), Y Society’s first 45 is one for the collection.

K.A.A.N. – Uncommon Knowledge
Saturday, May 7th, 2016 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on K.A.A.N. – Uncommon Knowledge

Image: 1604053 25 year old, Howard County, Maryland native, Brandon Perry also
known as K.A.A.N. (pronounced Kon) has the talent and qualities to
once again write a new chapter in the rap instruction manual. When
your moniker is an acronym for “Knowledge Above All Nonsense”
(K.A.A.N.), hip hop is going to hold you accountable. Accountability
and credibility are not only evident in K.A.A.N.’s music, but equally
obvious in his work ethic and output. In a short time span, as he
has been honing and developing his craft in real time, the rapper
has organically amassed tens of thousands of followers across
numerous social media platforms and consistently generated
hundreds of thousands of plays via soundcloud and youtube from
his multiple projects. Some of the biggest names in the industry have
extended admiration and support of K.A.A.N.’s movement. Cosigns
from Chuck D, features on NPR, and regular performances on both
US coasts are among the many stripes the newcomer has earned.
His vinyl debut entitled Uncommon Knowledge on Redefinition
Records adds another notch to his belt, in that K.A.A.N.had the honor
of working exclusively with legendary music producer K-Def (Real
Live, LL Cool J, Ghostface, Diddy) for an entire EP. Listening to him
rhyme may remind an experienced hip hop head of rap’s greats and
while K.A.A.N. respectfully gives credit where due when speaking
of his influential mc’s, he attributes just as much of his inspiration to
his fandom and study of artists from other genres including Nirvana
and Johnny Cash. The old saying goes, “Knowledge is Power”, yet
for such a popular catchphrase, common sense is still arguably
uncommon. Leave it up to K.A.A.N. to take intelligence from rarity to
readily available for the masses.

K-Def – The Unpredictable Gemini
Friday, January 8th, 2016 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on K-Def – The Unpredictable Gemini

Image: 1601523 In a genre where the most pivotal and defining moments occurred
over 2 decades ago according to popular to consensus, few artists
have managed to consistently achieve excellence and visibly
contribute from the early 90’s to present day 2000’s. With regime
changes, trend cycles, and technological advancements, producer
K-Def is in a class of “rare breed” artists that pridefully embody the
title veteran. So much can be said about what he has accomplished
throughout his 20 plus year career, but specifically in 2015, K’s output
and quality have stayed atop the conversation. Building a foundation
at Redefinition Records, who adopted the catchphrase “Quality Over
Quantity”, is not a question of how much, but rather how good.
For the label, K-Def is an exception. His latest offering entitled “The
Unpredictable Gemini” (1 of 2 new albums released simultaneously),
is a fully instrumental opus into the mind and soul of one of hip
hop’s greatest producers. The Unpredictable Gemini showcases
his evolving style and genre pioneering tricks and techniques he
continues to refine through the use of his unique production tools.
Keeping this project very close to heart and classified from the
public over the last 3 years, K meticulously produced, composed,
arranged, mixed and mastered well over 100 tracks before making
executive decisions on this album he wants the world to hear.
Speaking on the album, K-Def made the following statement: “I want
you to know that the sounds on this album display some of my true
inner feelings about music & life. With the advancement of technology
and my knowledge of using all kinds of recording equipment dating
back to the late 80’s, I present to you the unpredictable Gemini.

Damu The Fudgemunk – Public Assembly 2 (Colored Vinyl)
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Damu The Fudgemunk – Public Assembly 2 (Colored Vinyl)

Image: 1599683 Exactly one year after Volume 1, Damu answers the
people with Public Assembly Volume 2, a second
installment of quality instrumentals in his signature
style. What started as a collection of music curated
with the help on his fanbase via social media has
turned into another franchise title for Redefinition
Records.  Over the last 6 years, Damu and his Redef
label have released numerous projects big & small
across every major format. The music heard on Public
Assembly Volume 2 is more like a family reunion than
a collection. The release unites sought after rarities,
unreleased compositions, archived demos and fan
favorites, all gathered on 2 variations of LP in gold
(limited) or black vinyl.  These instrumentals will not
come as a surprise to long time fans of the DC native.
However, with the consistent demand of his music in
the vinyl market and tracks sourced from rare, out of
print titles featured on the release, listeners will have
the opportunity to own some of the music missing
from their record collections.  The Public Assembly
series is certainly about providing sounds the fans
first.  For recent fans and newcomers, Volume 2 is a
great introductory title into the vast catalog of Damu
the Fudgemunk and will serve as the roadmap to
discovering more of his music. Designer and visual
artist Joe Buck provides the cover art continuing his
long standing partnership with Redef records. *The CD
version includes bonus tracks.
Public Assembly Volume 2 is Damu the Fudgemunk’s
first full release of 2015. The album is the launch of
many long awaited and brand new full length titles to

Def Dee – D-1000
Saturday, July 11th, 2015 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Def Dee – D-1000

Image: 1598281 Is he a man or a machine? Maybe both. Dee produces, mixes, performs all scratching and even MCs on occasion. On D-1000, he assembled a potent collection of instrumental pieces that let the unique identity of his sound expand without vocal obstructions. If you appreciate the vibes coming from Los Angeles, Detroit, the DMV and Germany, this album hosts the flag for Seattle, Washington. Fusing samples, live instrumentation, boom bap to off-beat and unquantized sequencing, experimental, atonal and melodic textures, D-1000 defines growth that many artists strive for.

One year since releasing his Redefinition Records debut (Deja Vu),
Seattle’s young beat smith is back with his latest effort entitled D-1000,
his first full instrumental album in over 4 years. Much of his work has come
via collaborations with artists such as Roc Marciano, One Be Lo, Blu,
Oddisee, yU, Damu the Fudgemunk, The Artifacts and Black Milk. On this
particular project, Def Dee is (mostly) letting the music do the talking. With
praises from Oh No and cosigns from El Da Sensei, peers and listeners
alike agree that Def Dee is one of the most talented and refreshing beat
makers to emerge in the last five years.

Conceptually, fans of the the Terminator franchise will notice homage
through title and cover art. According to Def Dee, “Terminator 1 and
2 are some of my favorite movies, Terminator 2 specifically. I know…
It’s a weird concept, but in this album you will hear references to both
Terminators. When coming up with the album title I felt that this album
had a very “metal” sound to it. Not in the sense of rock, but moreso
just metal-ish. Combine the metal tones with the smooth swing of the
beats it felt more like liquid metal. The title D-1000 is based on the T-1000
which was a machine made of mimetic poly alloy (liquid metal) sent back
in time to kill the leader of the human resistance. The D-1000 is a man
turned machine to create beats to potentially kill the machines (software
ran music industry) to save the human resistance (vinyl sampling, drum
machine hardware) straight off the MPC 2000xl. D-1000 has the ability to
have swing, therefore being liquid metal. It was exciting to me and I hope
you can hear that through the beats. This is an idea I’d like to build on and
it could potentially be the first tape in an installment.”
This album offers the complete listening experience as an instrumental
project, but includes bonus tracks featuring Dee’s hometown counterparts
and an appearance from Los Angeles’ Blu on an exclusive remix of “Illest

Raw Poetic & K-Def – Cool Convos In Quantum Speech
Friday, April 17th, 2015 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Raw Poetic & K-Def – Cool Convos In Quantum Speech

Image: 1596510 One of hip-hop’s most slept on emcees Raw Poetic (of
Panacea and Restoring Poetry In Music) recently teamed
up with producer K-Def for a Redefinition Records release
in the form of Cool Convos in Quantum Speech. Raw
Poetic never strays too far away from jazz-underlined
production and that still applies for Cool Convos.
What makes the emcee so tantalizingly raw with his
microphone abilities comes from his natural groove that
emulates through his technical but always honey-like flow.
K-Def provides drum breaks and jazzy melodies with
minor elements of spacey ambiance to create a semi-
futuristic vibe on Cool Convos in Quantum Speech. Raw
Poetic is a modern emcee with a sound brimming in the
nostalgia of 90s hip-hop, and K-Def perfectly hones in on
a boom-bap sound refined with clean samples, making
these two a great duo.” – Hip-Hop Speakeasy

If you’ve been following this producer’s output over the years, you’re likely to be aware of his meticulously built tracks and remixes in which
playful percussion structures and otherworldly melodies fuse into compositions that float somewhere between the sofa and the dancefloor.
Applescal’s previous album ‘Dreaming In Key’ found excellent support in the press (Pitchfork 7,6, Xlr8r 7,5, Drowned In Sound 7) and got played
by DJ’s such as Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier & Daniel Avery.
‘For’s’ content, the new album, still transmits that organic and careless sound of Applescal’s earlier work, but this time round things seem to
be dipping more frequently into deeper and darker waters. Many will recognize Applescal’s signature sound in tracks such as ‘Like You Do’,
‘Matter’ and ‘Overseas’, with dreamscape synthesizers and sparkling grooves being the main ingredients, but ‘For’ also sees the producer
drawing from a new sound palette, an even more mature one perhaps, bravely redefining his sound while staying true to the roots of his earlier
work.

Def Dee – Deja Vu
Friday, September 19th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Def Dee – Deja Vu

Image: 1591064 Deja Vu is the sophomore release from Seattle’s torch bearing
producer / vocalist, Def Dee. Building upon a potent and well
received discography that includes a standout beat tape known as
“Cheat Heat” as well as his debut album, 33 and a Third (released
on Mello Music Group), Deja Vu is Def Dee’s testament to quality
hip-hop. The project is a unique listen and plays especially well
as a complete album. It has a Lyricist Lounge vibe but Def Dee
isn’t simply rehashing the sounds of yesterday, his approach
to unquantized rhythms and sample is unique and sonically
refreshingly.
Though this is Dee’s second full length, it is his first appearance
on vinyl through a special venture with Redef Records via friend/
mentor, Damu the Fudgemunk. To mark the occasion, Def Dee
was given the task of producing a complete work and he delivered
with ease, showing that he can bang with the best of them. On
Deja Vu, Def Dee acts as music director while an accomplished
team of MCs effortlessly covers a wide variety of topics and
ideas throughout the program. The album features a handfull of
instrumentals alongside guest appearances from Roc Marciano, El
Da Sensei, Blu, One Be Lo, Raw Poetic and other creatives. Def
Dee is making a strong statement with Deja Vu. Are you listening?

K-Def & 45 King – Back To The Beat
Thursday, September 18th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on K-Def & 45 King – Back To The Beat

Image: 1592348 When K-Def mentioned to his friends at Redef that he knew
pioneering producer 45 King, it led to two questions: “What
is he up to and when can we work with him?” The 45 King
was only a phone call and a 10 minute drive away. After
initiating the recording session, K immediately went into
A&R mode to complete “Back to the Beat,” an instrumental
exhibition that features the two producers trading ideas.
During the last several years, K-Def has arguably proven
to be the hardest working man in the production business,
consistently releasing at least 4 albums of brand new
conceptual material annually. From working under Marley
Marl in the early 90’s to producing for P. Diddy in the late
2000’s, K-Def’s career has eclipsed two decades, but it was
a man by the name of DJ Mark the 45 King who inspired K
years before his professional career began. The 45 King has
been behind some the biggest names in hip-hop and beyond,
from Gangstarr, Eric B & Rakim, to Jay-Z, Eminem and
even Madonna.
Conceptually, it is not the first release of it’s kind as some
may remember 45 King collabs with Louie Louie or the
T.C.S. in the late 80’s/ early 90’s. Sonically, the album is
composed of 2 personalities that communicate, compliment
and compete while the audience is engaged. 45 King leads
the show while K-Def is his lead soloist. In pure form,
both identities are on display showcasing the technicality
in simplicity taking a “crawl before you walk” approach.
In the immortal words of T. La Rock, Redefinition Records
is proud to present “Back to the Beat”. There’s more than
enough hard drums and catchy samples to live up to the title.
Thank you K-Def for making history in 2014 with the 45
King.

Artifacts – APB (All Points Bulletin)
Thursday, September 18th, 2014 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Artifacts – APB (All Points Bulletin)

Image: 1592073 From the fading SMPTE sound and the melancholic opening sax riff to “Wrong Side Of Da Tracks,” the Artifacts endeared fans with their backand-forth wordplay and honest rhyming, paying homage to an oft-forgotten aspect of Hip Hop culture: graffiti art. The New Jersey duo went on a mission of demolition as Tame One and El Da Sensei’s lyrical onslaught was perfectly paired with no holds barred production from some of the best boardsmiths of the day. Their aptly titled debut Between a Rock and a Hard Place (1994) symbolized both the blue-collar work ethic Tame and El put forth in their craft and a clever reference to “Brick City,” better known as Newark, NJ. This momentum carried over to their second (and final) album That’s Them (1997), which showed an ability to grow lyrically while maintaining a strong eye and ear on quality control.
Fast-forward to 2014. On this outing, Tame and El team up, reuniting for a rare appearance with Redefinition Records for their latest single “All
Points Bulletin (APB).” Seattle’s Def Dee deftly handles the production duties on Side-A and Germany’s Klaus Layer runs the remix on the flip
side, but please understand: this is a “Nu Jeruz” affair. With that said, Redef provides a home for the two veteran MCs to showcase their talents sans the restrictions and constraints of a corporate machine exerting its will to mold the artists into something artificial versus “artifact”ual. The music takes on an organic feel and leaves the listener feeling like Tame and El haven’t missed a beat. Rounding out the north NJ connection is K-Def, who lends his mastering prowess to the project. This synergy is felt through geographical bonds and an overall desire to make the best art possible, with more music coming to a speaker near you. The Artifacts continue to “show and prove” with their indelible stamp left on Hip Hop, irrespective of time. Never rule out industry vets with an undeniable dedication to all aspects of the culture…can’t forget New
Jersey.

Damu The Fudgemunk – Spare Overtime (White Vinyl+7inch)
Friday, December 20th, 2013 | Posted in Products | Comments Off on Damu The Fudgemunk – Spare Overtime (White Vinyl+7inch)

Image: 1586345 It was 5 years ago. If you’re familiar with “How it Should Sound” (RDF007), this is how it all started. Back in winter of 2008, Damu the Fudgemunk released a collection of instrumentals entitled, “Spare Time” (RDF002) as a free digital download to the masses. It was this album that introduced Damu as a solo artist and Redefinition Records to thousands, taking blogs and file sharing sites by storm. “Spare Time” was such a success, that a sequel “Overtime” (RDF003) was released in the summer of 2008. Collectively, both “Spare Time” and “Overtime” have exceeded over 200,000 downloads to date. With the rapid growth of Redef and the expansion of Damu the Fudgemunk, several titles have been released since in various formats making both the brand and artist, one of the most respected and relevant in independent hip hop. Ironically, “Spare Time” and “Overtime” never saw a proper release on vinyl or cd until now. The fans have spoken over the years requesting this material in physical form and to popular demand, “Spare Overtime RE-Inspired…” is the answer.
Damu is a producer/DJ (and an occasional MC) from Washington DC who co-owns and operates Redefinition Records. Redef is a 100% indie hip-hop label that releases music on all formats and despite their low-key and humble approach, Redef has has released music featuring a surprising cast of characters including hip-hop icons such as MF Doom, Talib Kweli, Blu, Pete Rock, Grap Luva, K-Def, Kev Brown, The Artifacts, Germany’s Klaus Layer, and even Kanye West.
About Spare OverTime…
Newly recorded, re-sequenced and retitled versions of the beloved instrumentals were prepared for this album. Both “Spare Time” and “Overtime” have been consolidated into one and in the vein of “How it Should Sound”, Damu revisited all the old floppy disks to create the best listening experience. Constructed on his MPC 2000, the album is intact with The Fudgemunk’s signature production style and interludes. Two freshly composed unreleased tracks were conceived exclusively for the deluxe version which includes a 45. This is quite a bonus for fans who want more new music from Damu the Fudgemunk. Damu’s previous release, the “Spur Momento Trailer EP (RDF-C001)” was a step in a new sonic direction. His latest, “Spare Overtime Re-Inspired…” is reassuring that he hasn’t completely abandoned the sound he is known for, unlike some other artists who progress.

Image: 1586346 Brand new instrumental EP following Klaus’ debut album “The Adventures of Captain Crook”

Europe has long been home to disciples of the East Coast sound, and Germany’s Klaus Layer is one of the most emergent of recent times. His late-summer debut, The Adventures of Captain Crook (Redefinition), cemented his trans-national appeal and saw the start of new collaborative efforts with underground favorite Blu. With his latest record, Ist Wie Ein Kreis (Its Like A Circle), Klaus continues his body of work with six instrumentals embodying his inspirations of dense boom-bap constructs and psychedelic sensibilities. Highly recommended

The phrase “producer’s producer” gets thrown around in the world of music and, quite candidly, it’s a very nebulous phrase and one difficult to accurately describe. We hear other producers mention a specific producer as inspiration, but they are never asked to further embellish what the phrase means. It’s like being asked to describe the color of water in ten words or less -not easily accomplished, but assumed everyone can do it.

K-Def’s latest endeavor on Redefinition Records, One Man Band, continues his self-reinvention combining software with his impeccable ear for music to craft –or re-craft- many familiar records using his signature style. Stevie Wonder, A Tribe Called Quest, and 24-Carat Black, to name a few, receive a face-lift while still remaining true to the original sound that forms the genesis of this project. The concept is simple: giving classic records an updated feel for new audiences to enjoy and appreciate them. K-Def is not flipping the same samples or replaying the notes and chords in a mimicking fashion as the originals, but recreating and re-interpolating them with live, unsampled sounds, which he has been honing for years now. K is producing other producer’s records and, in turn, putting his special touch on it. He is taking the art of digging and music appreciation and applying it to the world of software by using technology for our audio delight. The intricacy of each record oozes with care and an attention to detail that becomes immediately apparent with the initial bars of the first song.

Herein lies the simple genius that makes K-Def a “producer’s producer.” The years spent crafting classics, listening to records, and absorbing sounds has allowed him to develop his own sonic tapestry, which is best exemplified here on this excellent record. He re-orchestrates another composer’s classic record and develops movements, crescendos, and transitions that would leave any music connoisseur grinning from ear-to-ear. “Funky Fridays” epitomizes the strides K-Def has made en route to remodeling his sound with the marriage of his production prowess and technology. This gem defines the project and raises the bar for other producers paying homage to those whose shoulders they now stand. Within K-Def’s boastful canon of hit records, “Funky Fridays” stands as an opus that deserves its rightful spot, if for nothing more than marking a new level in which he has successfully attained, daring to stretch the boundaries of Hip Hop music.

Words may never be able to accurately describe the phrase “producer’s producer” due to ambiguous nature of the verbiage, and maybe words were never meant to. However, K-Def’s One Man Band allows for a musical definition to fully emerge and take shape, transcending the verbal world and taking root in a sonic one. Here, our senses take over and allow the music to do what it was meant to do: live, breathe, and morph into something beyond explanation, a true redefinition. Available from 08.03.2013
