Within the last few years, the Viennese beat giant Brenk Sinatra advanced to become one of the most important and most active producers in Europe. After lacing European artists like Casper, Olexesh, Morlockk Dilemma, Audio88 & Yassin with tailor-made beats, numerous US-rappers such as Mac Miller, B-Real, Kurupt, WC, Xzibit and Guilty Simpson recorded on Brenk’s instrumentals.
Brenk Sinatra’s productions generate a lot of media interest as well as some airplay by international radio stations such as the Gilles Peterson’s “World Wide Show” on BBC1 or Eminem’s radio station “Shade45”. When Brenk is not busy touring as part of the producer trio Betty Ford Boys he is constantly pushing the boundaries on all levels.
Besides Gangsta Rap from the West Coast and grimey Hip-Hop from Detroit, Brenk Sinatra’s heart beats for Soul Music and Progressive Rock of the 1970s. This musical passion can be easily recognized by numerous samples used by the producer, but also becomes manifest in a project with Kansas City soul singer Miles Bonny. Together they founded the Band S3 (Supa Soul Shit), their self-titled album was released October 2012 and nomineed for the Austrian Amadeus Music Award.
After the release of Brenk Sinatra’s instrumental debut “Gumbo”, the follow-up album “Gumbo II”, which was pushed by DJ Premier and DJ House Shoes, made big waves among the beat-gourmets in Europe and the USA. Celebrating it’s fifth birthday this summer, a special double LP (pressed on blue vinyl, includes download card and is limited to 1.000 copies) consisting of the original album on one platter and 20 brand new tracks from 2010-2011 on the other will hit the stores in August!
