Image: 1582410 Straight out of the Israeli flourish groove label "Audio Montage" comes yet another bomb by the name of "Crunch 22". Led by one of "The Apples" turntablists, Erez Todres, "Crunch 22" is an eclectic power trio, built from a unique instrumental combination of Rhodes, drums & turntables. With influences deriving from funk to afrobeat, dub to jazz and rhythm&blues to drum'n'bass, Crunch 22 easily transform every concert into a party.

Both tracks open with soulful drum break followed by fat bass line and taken from the band's self titled debut album, due to be released this summer. "Dimitri" on the A side is a mid tempo oriental psych piece with a mysterious violin sample and an Arabic chant. On the flip side, "Barumbi", an up tempo afrobeat tune, which triggers the mind on a wave of an electric tribal dance. This vinyl is a 500 limited edition print under the "Delights" 7 inch series by "Audio Montage".

"Crunch 22 are a phenomenal collaboration of three brilliant minds, creating spicy pieces of original groove ... with instrumental humor" (Raz Israeli)
"It was fucking awesome. You have to go see their show. When they played" (Digital_Me)
"With Baruch's fender rhodes bass sound and fast melodies, Mayo's groovy drumming and Dj Todres's raw samples and live scratching, they manage to send their tunes, as well as the audience, into a different universe" (Neta N. Shimony)
"When one of the founding members of The Apples forms a new group, that is not something to be ignored... they will make the masses dance" (Yoni Sharoni) Available from 05.07.2013
