Zero Cash aka Fabian Stall was only 14 years old when he decided to dedicate his life to electronic music. He produced his first tracks on his father’s computer using old-school tracker software, before he equipped his studio with synthesizers and drum computers. In early 2000, he released his debut under the pseudonym Electro Atomu with Air Liquide and Dr. Walker (for the label DJungle Fever). After a couple of singles and remixes he realised a project in co-operation with FM Einheit (Einstürzende Neubauten).
The first release (“Low Service EP”) under his artist name Zero Cash came out in 2004 on the legendary Monotone imprint. The same year Zero Cash and Khan (Captain Comatose) started producing Khan’s album “Who Never Rests” which was finally released in 2007 on Tomlab.
After all these acid, noise and trip-hop experiences he decided to return to pure dance music. He teamed up with Maral Salmassi to start a club project called Golden Days, and together they produced a series of singles and remixes for Television. He also created the indie-disco project A**ro Cologne together with Thomas Mahmoud (former singer of Von Spar) and Stefan Schmidt.
In late 2006 Zero Cash and Maral Salmassi founded Television Rocks as platform for their solo projects. In February 2007, Zero Cash released “Satan Satellites” which entered the charts of DJ’s like Erol Alkan, Tiga, Boris Dlugosch or Malente. One year later, after a couple of releases on Television Rocks Records and several productions for Maral Salmassi, Zero Cash also joined the crew of Coco Machete Records from New York and released “Push It” / “Goodies” as well as further singles and remixes. Since 2008 he released “My Shit Is On” (TELEROCK010) with Maral Salmassi, “Give It To Me” (TELEROCK011), and “Fuck The Money EP” (TELEROCK015) on Television Rocks. His latest release called “Marinade EP” on Flexidisco is available now.
When performing live, Zero Cash rocks his machines like metal bands play their guitars. He creates ecstatic moments with a variety of different styles, something between funky techno and dirty cut-up house. Zero Cash has no problem with using bombastic chords, brute guitar riffs, vocal fragments or hip-hop / electro breaks. Watch it if you can!
