Rarely have we seen someone rise through the ranks this quickly, and having a Belgian passport doesn’t often turn drum & bass heads, so you can be sure it’s his tunes which do the talking. In under a year Netsky has released massive 12″s on some of the biggest labels in drum & bass, and has gained support from some of the biggest names in dance music with Annie Mac, Mistajam, DJ Hype and Ashley Beedle all hammering his tunes.

It’s hard to believe that Boris ‘Netsky’ Daenen’s debut release on an offshoot of DJ Hype’s Ganja label arrived as recently as spring 2009. Only one year later it’s time for the debut album from drum & bass’s hotest property. Not since the explosion onto the scene of High Contrast way back in 2001 have we witnessed an artist rise to prominence so quickly.

Fresh, euphoric and unique the album delivers the full spectrum of the Netsky sound. Big vocal cuts like “Escape” featuring Darrison) and “Moving With You” (featuring Jenna G) provide two instant drum & bass classics. There are massive instrumentals bangers “Iron Heart” and “Secret Agent” contrasted with the haunting deeper moments of “Let’s Leave Tomorrow” and “Storm Clouds”.

Capturing the imagination of the tens of thousands who attend drum & bass parties each week, Netsky has nailed the sound of 2010’s raver. Clean cut, high quality dancefloor music, perfect for staying up all night to.
