Diamond D, the legendary producer and founding member of the seminal Diggin’ In The Crates (D.I.T.C.) crew (Big L, Fat Joe, Showbiz, A.G. and more) drops a new video for “Bad/Good,” off of his most recent album “The Huge Hefner Chronicles.”
Diamond is one of the most well respected producers in hip-hop. A Grammy winner for his work with the Fugees on “The Score,” Diamond has produced classic tracks for Brand Nubian, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, Busta Rhymes and many many more.
The video for “Bad/Good” takes it back to that golden age feel. With no bling, no cars, and no video girls, Diamond reminds us what it was like growing up in the hood. The simple aesthetic of the video, paired with endearing portraits of kids from around the Bronx evokes a feeling not often remembered in today’s hip-hop culture.
