After releasing three successful 12″ Singles, including collaborations with Asheru, Wordsworth and The Saint and loads of live performances with the likes of De La Soul, Brand Nubian and Looptroop to name a few, Momentan from Cologne, Germany has become a solid name in the european hiphop scene. With every new release they are proving that they are more than just an alternative to your average
street rap.

Introducing the talented Cologne based producer Rene Ortiz, Momentan is now ready to take a big step forward. Momentan and Rene Ortiz teamed up on the “Soulmates EP” for one simple reason: Creating quality HipHop Music for the listener´s pleasure. On five tracks produced by Ortiz the Momentan Emcees J.R. and Michael Mic and DJs Dirty Diggler and Buttafinga prove that German rap still has the soul it´s been missing for some time now. From smooth storytelling to straight up representing tracks – Momentan got what the underground HipHop head is waiting for.

Once again Momentan gives you an exclusive guest performance by one of hottest emcees in U.S. underground HipHop. El Da Sensai, the well known lyricist and Ex-Artifacts member from New Jersey, appears on the laid back and soulfull track “Good Times” which gives listeners insight on how international collaborations should sound like.
