After blazing on to the international reggae scene in 1996 with the incendiary single “Fire ˜Pon Rome”, Reggae & Dancehall superstar Anthony B a.k.a. Keith Anthony Blair has scored many major hits. Thanks to his extensive touring schedule which brought him to large audiences outside Jamaica, Anthony B has managed to become one of the most prominent representatives of the new Jamaican conscious movement. This resulted as well in albums for VP, Greensleeves, Nocturne, Black Scorpio and other smaller outlets.

For the production of his new album “My Hope” he worked exclusively with the “flying” producer Andreas “Brotherman” Christophersen and the Jamaican Al.Ta.Fa.An team – 13 mostly very rootsy riddims, played by Jamaica’s top studio musicians like Leroy “Horse Mouth” Wallace, Lloyd “Obea” Denton, Winston “Bopee” Bowen, Sticky Uziah Thompson, George “Dusty” Miller, Donald “Mr Biggs” Dennis, Paul “Wrongmove” Crossdale, Mitchum Chin, Dean Frazer, Nambo Robinson, Dwight Richards and others.

Backed by harmony singers Brian & Tony Gold, Leeba Hibbert, Nicky Tucker and Pam Hall, Anthony B performes a lively mixture of positive and revolutianary rasta lyrics, story-telling and love-songs. He sings duets with german reggae hero Gentleman (“Face Off”), Taffari (“Rise Up”) and Mark Wonder (“Don’t Cry”). For the warm and rootsy sound producer Brotherman was supported by some of the best engineers of the island’s industry, like Cedrica “Soljie” Hamilton, Barry “Grammy” O’Hare, Nigel Burrel and others – they were working in Tuff Gong , Steven Stanleys, 321 Strong, Barry Grammys, Frontroom and Kingston Music recording studios.

“My Hope” is another strong link in the continues chain of Minor7Flat5 releases of well crafted Jamaican music. The CD comes in a beautiful six page digipak and will be released as limited vinyl LP as well.

Anthony B will play in serveral locations all over the world this summer & this coming autumn.

The album Anthony BMy Hope” (Minor7Flat5) is going to be released August 15, 2005.
