Stones Throw is releasing the “lost” album from Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf, Big Shots, containing 15 tracks recorded 1991-1993, all produced by Peanut Butter Wolf. The scheduled street date is Nov. 18.

Charizma and Peanut Butter Wolf (then named DJ Chris Cut) began working together in 1990, recording and performing until Charizma’s death in 1993. Their only music released during Charizma’s lifetime were a Bomb Magazine flexi-disc of “Jack The Mack”, and a promotional cassette single for “Red Light Green Light” on Hollywood Basic.

Stones Throw Records was founded by Peanut Butter Wolf in 1996, and its first release was Charizma’s “My World Premier”. Although this single has been repressed several times and sold consistently for 7 years, releasing the rest of Charizma’s material was an effort close to the heart which has now waited exactly 10 years to happen.

A 12-inch single for “Here’s A Smirk”, including bonus tracks not available on the album, will also be released in November.
